Volunteer for Mission Share's Back-2-School Outreach

Consider helping out with Mission Share's Back-2-School Outreach! There are lots of ways for you, your family and/or your community group to get involved. They still need ~100 volunteers. Read on to see how you can help!

Help Pack Backpacks

Volunteers will be packing backpacks with school supplies and a Bible on Thursday, August 21st from 6:30-7:30pm at Mission Share. To sign up to help, email agencyrep.northridge@gmail.com.

Volunteer at the Backpack Giveaway Event

This year’s BACKPACK OUTREACH will be Thursday, August 28 behind Greece Assembly of God. There will be multiple bounce houses, carnival games, face-painting, cotton candy, popcorn, sno-cones, hot dogs, live music, testimonies, backpack give-a-ways, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, a clear and concise presentation of the Gospel message.

Volunteers Needed:

Set-up 2:30 – 5:00pm 

Help set-up tables, chairs, games, cones, etc. 

Griller 5:00 – 7:00pm

Grill hot dogs to perfection!  Must be over 21.

Food/drink runner 5:30 – 7:30pm

Make sure that the grillers have hotdogs and buns and that there are adequate condiments and side dishes available.

Face painter 5:30 – 8:30pm

Paint designs/simple pictures on children’s faces.

Inflatable attendant 5:30 – 8:00pm

Work with 3 others to facilitate a fun experience and ensure the safety of all children.  Must be 16 and older.

Carnival game attendant 5:30 – 8:00pm

Work with 1 other individual to facilitate a fun experience.  Must be 12 and older.

Cotton Candy machine operator 5:30 – 8:00pm

Make cotton candy for the masses.  Must be 16 and older.

Popcorn machine operator 5:30 – 8:00pm

Make popcorn for the masses.  Must be 16 and older.

Sno-Cone machine operator 5:30 – 8:00pm

Make sno-cones for the masses.  Must be 16 and older.

Backpack distributor 8:00 – 8:30pm

Help distribute backpacks to pre-registered families.  Young children can participate with supervision.

Prayer tent worker 5:30 – 8:30pm

Minister to those looking for prayer, looking for opportunities to share the Gospel.  Those under 18 are encouraged to participate, but must work with someone over 18.

Parking attendant 5:00 – 7:30pm

Assist drivers with finding safe parking.  Must be 18 and older.

Security 5:00 – 9:00pm

Wear security identification and walk around making sure everyone is safe and having fun.  Must be 21 and older.

Tear-down 8:30 – 9:00pm

Assist with garbage disposal, table/chair pickup, and general clean-up.
