Childcare Coordinator Job Description
Reports to Program Coordinator of Successful Pathways of YFC
Time Commitment
Weekly or bi-weekly involvement on Tuesdays and/or
Thursdays and some outside time necessary to restock daycare. Commitment needed
for four months at a time.
Requirements
Short orientation and tour of YFC with Program Coordinator
National background check ran by
YFC staff.
Self-initiative, love for children, and finds joy in
bringing organization.
Summary of essential job functions
The
Childcare Coordinator is responsible for recruiting childcare workers and
coordinating weekly schedules of volunteers and Successful Pathways events.
The
Childcare Coordinator is responsible for general upkeep and stocking of daycare.
The
Childcare Coordinator will manage the daycare during the operating hours for
weekly Tuesday/Thursday night classes. (based upon availability).
The
Childcare worker can make lesson plans, or set up schedules based on children’s
ages if the Coordinator deems appropriate.
What a ‘win’ looks like
When a Childcare Coordinator find they are
increasing the livelihood and organization of the daycare system at YFC, that
is a win. When the children are learning consistency through the work of the
childcare workers and the young parents feel comfortable leaving their children
each week, that is a win. Included in the win also is a fully stocked daycare
that is child safe.
